Why arent you @ work?

I came across a good article today that I myself have always wondered.... What are all these people out driving around and shopping and all kinds of other things throught out the day. Don't they have jobs? It seems as though the total amount of people not at work during the day is increasing. The article gives a fairly good explanation as to why this is.
